★★★★★ I engaged Bill Bertsch Construction to insulate the crawlspace of our newly purchased lake home and re-roof our garage. I was very impressed by Bill’s work; it was completed quickly, no surprises, and the workmanship was excellent. With the successful outcome of those projects I knew I could trust Bill and his team to renovate a bedroom and build a new bathroom. As an engineer, my first concern is attention to detail – particularly when something comes up in the construction process that is unexpected and has potential life safety issues; we found out that the roof on the room being renovated was comprised. Bill informed me of the issues, provided options, and discussed the pros and cons of each. Bill resolved the issues quickly and performed all of the tasks that you would hope you could take for granted – replaced bad wood, installed new insulation, and mitigated the flashing issue that caused the problem in the first place. Bill also identified potential carbon monoxide concerns and mitigated those as well. He and his team finished out the project on time and on budget. His workmanship was outstanding. As someone who builds cabinets and works on full scale aircraft periodically on the side, I know good workmanship when I see it. My wife and I are planning more projects in the future and now, with this experience behind us, one problem we don’t have to worry about again is who is going to do the work and do they care about the work they do on our home. Bill Bertsch is my choice – period – full stop.

★★★★★  I don’t normally do reviews, I probably haven’t written four in as many decades! However, I couldn’t let our experience with the Bill Bertsch Construction Company go by without comment. We needed a new roof; it is a large roof with a complex configuration. An already difficult job was made harder by the fact that the roof and crawl space needed significant structural repair work. The work was done in May of this year. If you’re familiar with the Hemlock Farms area you know that that was a very rainy time. Any day it rains, no roofing gets done! When the weather permitted them to work the workers worked like the Hammers of Hell! They worked continuously, at a steady pace with no downtime as long as rain wasn’t falling. They are now finished! The quality of the work done was superb, the amount of work done every day was exceptional; the site was picked-up and cleaned every day. The workers never stopped except for lunch time – if they were on the site they were working! Bill Bertsch was very clear in explaining, to us, the work to be done, how it was to be done and he warned when the near-term weather would interfere with the pace of work.
